Gardens, Monuments & Mausoleum
Gardens
Gracefully situated on the upper side of Greenwood Cemetery, the Gardens of Devotion, the Good Shepherd, Christus, and Prayers offer serene and dignified settings for interment. Bronze flat memorial markers, mounted on granite, create a uniform and beautifully maintained landscape. Each of these four garden areas accommodates both full-casket burials and the placement of cremated remains in urns, providing families with peaceful burial options in a picturesque setting
Other Interment Options
We offer a range of interment choices designed to honor personal wishes and family traditions. From traditional burial plots to thoughtfully landscaped garden areas and niche spaces, each option provides a dignified and meaningful way to remember loved ones.
Monuments
Running parallel to Wayne Avenue, the rolling and expansive monument sections of Greenwood Cemetery offer a distinguished and timeless setting for families wishing to commemorate their loved ones with upright stone memorials. These sections are designed to accommodate both full-casket burials and cremation interments, offering flexibility and beauty within a classic cemetery landscape. Families seeking upright monuments or personalized memorials will find lasting significance in this traditional area of the cemetery.
Mausoleums
The J.R. Richards Mausoleum, constructed around 1914, is a community mausoleum containing approximately 200 crypts, and sits off Hospital Road near one of the entrances into the monument side of the cemetery. This beautiful granite structure with art glass windows and marble floors is cared for by the cemetery staff.
Private mausoleums and crypts can also be found at Greenwood Cemetery.
