A Legacy Of Care
The Greenwood Cemetery is a nonprofit, non-sectarian cemetery located in White Township, Indiana County, near the borough of Indiana, PA.
Officially incorporated in June 1879 on an initial tract of 16 acres, it has now expanded to over 170 acres of thoughtfully maintained grounds.
The cemetery provides a peaceful and respectful resting place, reflecting generations of community care and dedication.

Can you help me locate relatives in my family tree/trace my ancestry?
The office is happy to provide the dates of death and burial as well as the location of graves of anyone buried at The Greenwood Cemetery. We do not have access to birth or death certificates. Contact the office if you’d like information on your ancestors
What are the payment options available?
The cemetery accepts credit cards, but must pass the fee charged by the payment processing company on to the customer. We do accept checks or cash. Lots and niches may be purchased by making regular payments with no finance charge or outside company, once arrangements have been made with the cemetery office.
Can I give burial rights to others?
While every situation is unique, lot owners do have the ability to specify who may use grave spaces. Call the office to discuss your wishes and to obtain any necessary paperwork.
